Interesting people on the train.
In Singapore, trains are always packed with people. There, you meet alot of interesting people. Here’s a list of people or groups of people I noticed while travelling on the train recently.
Disclaimer: This entry may sound really bitchy at times. But you know that I’m generally a nice person. Its just that I have my moments to unleash mean-ness. So do not judge me. Back to the entry.
Number 1: Indian Dude wearing the ‘Conserve water, Shower with me’ teeshirt.
Ok diude, firstly it feels as though you do not shower at all. Cos sitting beside you was difficult. Next time try deodorant ya? Till then, when u smell better put that t shirt at the back of your closet and never wear it.
Number 2: Mom who made her kids sit on the floor.
So the train is crowded and a mother enters carrying one child and holding the hand of the other. The guy sitting on the reserved seat offers to give her the seat (Yay for once someone doesn’t pretend he is sleeping). The mother instead of putting the child on her lap and sitting on the seat, makes both her children sit on the floor at her feet while she occupied the seat.
Number 3: Couple making out
So I entered the train at orchard and it was crowded (like duh!) so listening to the announcement (Please move towards the center of the car), I followed and moved to the centre. There i spot a guy and a girl leaning against the pole, preventing other commuters from holding on to it, making out like crazy. That’s when i realised that the guy had boobs. Girls today are daring eh? this was on the train and not a toca me or play on a thursday night.
Number 4: Old women sprinters.
So there was one seat available (Shocking) and the doors opened at bishan. Two elderly women actually ran for that last seat. I know its mean to laugh at old people, but this was so cute and so singaporean. Imagine two women, one carrying a walking stick and another an umbrella running to occupy the last remaining seat. I dunno if its cute or just plain sad. Well anyway, nice boy in CJC uniform decided to give up his seat for the umbrella woman. so everyone was happy in the end.
Number 5: Obedient kids.
So its the end of the school day and a group of kids aged like 9 or 10 entered the train. One of them proceeded to drink water from his water bottle. His other friends chided him for drinking. “Oh hor (with their fingers pointing at him) you drink water in the train.. no eating or drinking in the train !”. I’m surprised kids like this exist today.
Number 6: rushing man.
This happened at the train station. A man so eager to be the first one on the escalator after exiting the train ran towards it pushing me away. As I was cursing him in my mind, he tripped and fell. I didn’t know whether to laugh or help him up. So i just smiled. I’m evil eh?
